PLANTING HOLIDAY CHEER

A 14-foot poinsettia tree in the greenhouse conservatory of the Plant and Soil Sciences Building is composed of 250 plants within the tree and 50 plants on the floor. The conservatory is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays and 8 a.m. to noon weekends. A holiday open house from noon to 8 p.m., which includes an appearance by Santa Claus, caps a day of plant sales on Dec. 13.

$4 million gift to MSU-DCL funds trial practice institute

Attorney Geoffrey N. Fieger has partnered with MSU-Detroit College of Law to establish the first trial practice institute at a law school designed specifically to train law students as successful trial lawyers. (complete story)
