Ellen Kossek, professor of labor and industrial relations, was
elected to the Academy of Management's (AOM) Board of Governors for
a three-year term. Carl Liedholm, professor of economics, will be presented with
the College of Social Science Alumni Outstanding Teaching Award on May
3 at commencement in the Jack Breslin Student Events Center. Lynnette Overby, associate professor of theatre, was re-elected
president of the National Health and Fitness Association (NHFA) at its
annual convention in Philadelphia. Michelle Powell, graduate student of epidemiology and African
studies has been awarded a Fulbright Research Award for her research on
HIV-associated dementia patients in Zambia. Aaron Russell, graduate student of fisheries and wildlife and
African studies, has been awarded a Fulbright Research Award for his dissertation
research on sustainable fisheries in Malawi Paulette Stenzel, a specialist in international business law in the Department of Finance, will receive the Honors College Award for Distinguished Contributions to Honors Students on May 1. |
